Homeschool/Office Space

Where did Summer go?! It flew by so fast! Typically 4 weeks before school starts, I start prepping our school room, and going through my boys curriculum just so I am well prepared for the school year! School starts for my little ones in about two weeks and after 5 years of homeschooling, I was ready for a room refresh. I have rearranged the room many times, and changed things around but now my oldest is going into the sixth grade, so he needs a different vibe!

My kids do have live classes, so I wanted to create a room space with ambiance and a desk that gives them the option to stand or sit. I found the perfect desk and chairs for their room, and our room is pretty small but even with two desk chairs and two desk, they fit well!

By the way my oldest whom is eleven actually put the electric desk and chairs together. If he can do it, so can you :)

Back to the room, I literally started completely fresh from window drapes, curtain rods, printer stand, area rug, outlet covers….. You name it!

However, I did have an chandelier that I bought years ago that I never used. I love this chandelier light fixture, it gives a boho vibe but also brings texture into the room.

I added an area rug as well, I had been eying this beautiful rug for so long and finally pulled the trigger and bought it!

Don’t get overwhelmed with all the items I listed, they just simply give you a vision and idea of how to create your own ambiance.

Homeschool is not easy but I love having this available for my family, especially because my youngest son is immuno-compromised and keeping him in his own environment gives him extra protection from all the virues out there!
