Disneyland

Over the past two years, I have taken my boys to Disneyland, and it has been so much fun! Now they are at the age where I comfortably feel safe taking them as a solo parent; however my youngest has cerebral palsy and a Kidney Transplant, so when we go on any trips, I have to pack a lot!

I’m familiar with Anaheim weather, but gosh it’s a whole different story when you are walking for hours in the heat. With that being said, I packed for the heat, achy legs, sun protection, matching shirts for the boys and medical supplies such as face mask for my son whome is immune-compromised!

First and foremost, you can’t go to Disneyland without shirts, so I bought these adorable shirts for my boys. They held up well and they even wore them when we came back from Disney! When we went again, I bought this shirt for my oldest son, and he loved it too! I of course, I wore some cute shirts as well, the first shirt held up pretty good, but I recommend getting a white or different color because the black attracted the heat!

If you love meeting the characters, I highly recommend buying autographs before you enter the park! They are much more cost-effective, and they all serve the same purpose. I ended up getting these autograph books along with these adorable pens!

So we went during the Summer both times, and I knew being in the sun all day would definitely catch up, so I made sure I got us cooling towels and a misting fan, and boy did those come in handy! Even random people in line borrowed our fans!

As I mentioned earlier, my little one has CP, so he can’t walk long distances. We now have a medical adaptive wheelchair, but for years I used this baby jogger stroller and it carried my son EVERYWHERE! I loved that stroller! As a Mom and Medical Mom, it was a no-brainer to have some extra storage, so I bought a stroller organizer that connects directly to the stroller and a hook to hold our bags! You definitely want to invest in a bag to carry snacks, extra socks (Grizzly Run) in case your socks get wet. I love this bag; it literally has so many compartments to hold all of your stuff!

If you decide to go on the Grizzly Run, which is SUPER FUN, wear a poncho if you don’t want to walk around soaked! I made the mistake the first time not wearing a poncho, and I looked like I had peed myself LOL. These ponchos come in a pack of 6 and you can literally dispose them as soon as you're done!

Take extra socks in case your feet get wet. I like these socks, I have bought them at least 6 times throughout the years! So everyone talks about their feet getting blisters, I didn’t experience that, and neither did my kids. However, I go for comfort more than style, so I swear by these shoes! They have lasted me so long, and they are the most comfortable pair of shoes. This is the second time I have purchased them and I have NEVER experienced blisters!

Okay, time for the cute accessories… I wore these cute little Minnie Ears and when it got super hot, I put my hair in a ponytail and used these adorable scrunchies. You know, I couldn’t go without adorable sunglasses and I got a lot of compliments too!

Last but not least, SUNSCREEN is ESSENTIAL! We use this sunscreen along with a cooldown gel if my son gets sunburned.

I almost forgot…… Okay, my biggest advice it to not leave any IMPORTANT items in your stroller, or leave your bag with your card and money! You have no idea how many times I have heard people say their stroller got stolen or their items from their stroller got stolen! Always take a cross bag. I LOVE this slingbag, it carries so much stuff, and you literally don’t have to stress about your items getting stolen! If you have a stroller, I highly recommed getting an Apple Airtag and you can literally attach inside of your stroller!

I hope this helped a ton! Let me know if you have any questions or if any of the links are broken!

Have a Magical time at Disney!
